Gotitas del sol

Little drops of sun glow almost of their own accord as this Corteza tree comes into bloom. The bright yellow flowers which cover the tree for about two weeks every year (usually in December) are breathtakingly beautiful. In the foreground are flowers of "Rabo de Gato." Corteza is prized for it's beautiful and strong wood. It is a slow-growing tree taking 30 years to mature.
